LUMA Arles is a creative interdisciplinary campus where, through exhibitions, conferences, live performances, architecture and design, thinkers, artists, researchers and scientists examine the relationship between art, culture, the environment, human rights and research.

It is both a place of production and experimentation for artists and the general public, LUMA Arles hosts exhibitions by major artists, works by leading figures in contemporary creation, events, special commissions and projects. in-situ.
Since its creation, LUMA Arles has commissioned and presented the work of more than 100 artists, thinkers and innovators at the Parc des Ateliers and in a number of other venues around Arles.
The Parc des Ateliers
LUMA Arles is located in the Parc des Ateliers, a site originally operated by the Paris-Lyon-Méditerranée (PLM) company, which became the SNCF in 1938. This 11-hectare site has been reinvented to become the heart of the city. LUMA ArlesWhile preserving elements of its industrial heritage.
It is made up of 7 industrial buildings dating from the XIXᵉ century and La Tour designed by Frank Gehry, all surrounded by a vast 4-hectare landscaped park designed by landscape architect Bas Smets.
