Change of scenery and let yourself be charmed by the Camargue Regional Nature Park. Your hotel is only 10 km from Arles.

It is in the heart of this sanctuary, where a preserved fauna and flora flourish, that the town of Arles is nestled, classified as a "Town of Art and History". And rightly so, as the city is full of ancient remains from the Roman era. The most impressive is undoubtedly the amphitheatre of the Arles Arena, dating from 90 BC.

In the city of Arles, all cultures are honoured.

The Arlesian culture, still very much alive and which is celebrated each year with rice, bulls or horses. But also the Gypsy culture, notably with the unmissable pilgrimage to the Saintes Maries de la Mer. Finally, the Festival des Suds pays tribute to world music every year.

In the footsteps of Van Gogh

A cultural trip from your hotel near Arles

In all seasons, follow a marked route in the footsteps of the artist.

Vincent Van Gogh spent 16 months in the Arles region between February 1888 and May 1889. During this stay, he produced no less than 300 drawings and paintings. The unique light offered by the region, but also the lights of the night, inspired the artist to set up his easel in the city and on the quays.

A dozen places have been identified, creating an ideal route to discover Arles.

It is impossible to miss the Place du Forum for Le café le soir, the Trinquetaille bridge for L'escalier du pont de Trinquetaille, the Quai du Rhône for La nuit étoilée sur le Rhône, or the Place Lamartine for La maison jaune.

Continue your visit with the Van Gogh Foundation, which pays tribute to his work and opens a dialogue with contemporary art.

The full description of the tour can be found at the Arles Tourist Office.
